Your body....it is your means to express your innermost thoughts, dreams, and emotions. It is the vessel for the soul. Yet too often we find cause to treat them with indifference and dislike, forgetting that our bodies serve us every moment of every day. Positive energy is released when we give love and thanks to our bodies, inspiring health and healing power. WHEN WE HONOR OUR BODY, WE HONOR THAT WHICH CREATED US. We honor the divine. Therefore, it's important to appreciate, nurture, and respect our bodies. Honor your body by thanking it for all it does for you. No matter what shape your body is in, it has served you well for many years. Even if you'd rather be thinner, more muscular, or whatever, be grateful for the body you have. Give notice that you can walk, talk, laugh, heal, dance, sing, create...all the things that you might take for granted. Give your body the best in terms of food, exercise, and care. Your body will tell you what it needs if you just listen. Generally, when your body feels light, things are right. When you feel tense and uneasy, there's a reason, your body doesn't lie. Few people are willing to accept that their physical individuality is something absolutely amazing rather than something to be embarrassed or ashamed of. Our individual beauty, contributes to the beauty of humanity and enhances the world. It is when we stop comparing ourselves to others that we can recognize the true miracle which is the beauty of each and every human body as a whole. With this, take another look in the mirror, make the mirror your friend, and make the effort to LOVE WHO YOU ARE AND WHAT YOU SEE.July 22, 2009

What a powerful lesson to learn! YOU have unique and special qualities and YOU have an individual purpose on this earth...that only YOU can do. Remembering that helps me enjoy the physical attributes I have been given.
ReplyDeleteAmen, both to you and Erin!
