There are many great life lessons we learn. One of the lessons that can serve us as an important teacher is pain. What we do with the pain, is really what can teach us the most about who we are. It is when we get stuck in our pain that it can become detrimental to our well-being and growth. If you notice that you feel closed-off, resentful, guilty, heavy burdened, you are most likely stuck in your pain.We can get stuck for many reasons. It's normal for us to cry, and release the experience by letting it move through us. By fully experiencing our feelings in this way, we are cleansed, leaving us open to new possibilities. With age we might have gained a self belief that expressing emotion was inappropriate, and so we developed a variety of coping mechanisms to deal with our discomfort. We may have learned to stuff our feelings down or to run away from them. We begin shutting down, closing off, and building walls for self protection; being safe from rejection and failure. We may have even gotten so used to being in pain, that the thought of being without it scares us and we hold ourselves back from moving forward. Consider allowing yourself to express the pain, and letting it go. Whether your pain is from your childhood or last week, open yourself up and allow it to move. When you do, you will reconnect with your creator. Often times, we fear letting go because of what we might think we could be losing, but in reality facing our fears and letting go will set us free from the pain. We justify our actions, remain selfish, and lie to ourselves to validate that what we are doing is better than being accountable and honest. By having the courage to face our fears, we realize that we are only loosing while carrying these burdens. It is during the time we hold it in that we create exactly what we fear most. It is only when we lean into God & Jesus Christ that these burdens can be lifted with his healing power that we are FREE TO MOVE FORWARD. By embracing authenticity, accountability, and honesty, we gain the freedom and healing to create miracles in our lives, and therefore inspiring & liberating others to do the same.
